Financial Boost for Advanced Biofuel Projects under PM JI-VAN Yojana

General Carbon
The Union Cabinet has approved extending the PM JI-VAN Yojana until 2028-29, now supporting advanced biofuels from lignocellulosic feedstocks, including agricultural residues, forestry waste, industrial waste, synthesis gas, and algae. The updated scheme prioritizes projects with new technologies and innovations. This initiative aims to increase farmers' income, reduce environmental pollution, create local jobs, and bolster India’s energy security.
